We at THEATRIX think that the ETC/High End Systems SolaFrame Theatre moving LED profile fixture is a game changer for the future of theatrical lighting.  It could even be called the “Swiss Army Knife” of theatrical lighting fixtures.  (Ok, there aren’t any scissors, but still…)  The fixture has no fans (it uses the NASA-developed “heat pipe” convection cooling technology) so it is virtually silent in operation.  It has full framing shutters and a high CRI as well as all of the expected gizmos: rotating and static gobos, color mixing, animation wheels, prisms, CTO and frost all with a 5°-40° field zoom range.

To help our clients realize the potential, THEATRIX Sales Associate (and resident Lighting Designer) Jonathan Wyman demonstrated the fixture in our shop the week of September 6-13, allowing attendees a “hands on” experience.
